Modular Home Electrician
The Modular Home Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical systems and components within modular homes during the manufacturing and assembly process. This position ensures all electrical work is completed according to national, state, and local electrical codes, company quality standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Install electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, breaker panels, and related components in modular homes.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Route and secure wiring through walls, ceilings, and floors according to design specifications.
- Assemble and install electrical panels, circuits, and service equipment.
- Test electrical systems and troubleshoot wiring issues to ensure proper functionality.
- Inspect completed work for compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) and company standards.
- Repair or replace defective electrical components and wiring.
- Collaborate with production teams, supervisors, and inspectors to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Assist with final home inspections and quality control checks before shipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Experience using electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Previous experience in modular home, manufactured housing, residential construction, or commercial electrical work.
- Knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling.
- Ability to work in various indoor production environments.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment safely.
