Job Title: IT – Cyber Security Co-op Student

Position PurposeTo provide work assignments that align with student interests and goals, developing candidates for future technical positions. Responsibilities will be reviewed and adjusted throughout the co‑op period to fit student progress and capabilities.
Responsibilities- Learn and become more proficient at technical tasks.
- Augment education with work experience.
The incumbent will spend time with Help Desk issues to understand the business environment and users.
Develop and implement applications using C#, VB6, and/or SQL based on requests during the co‑op period.
Learning Tasks Help Desk- Understand business technology and users.
- Find root cause and manage resolution.
- Participate in change control.
- Conform to software and application conventions.
- Understand business data and functions.
- Participate in change control.
- Design applications.
- Adhere to software specifications.
- Ensure operational efficiency and maintainability.
- Audit processes for accuracy, variability, cycle time, reliability, and cost.
- Assist in operator training.
- Plan projects and measure progress.
- Integrate with other software and systems.
- Supervise other developers.
- Use resources effectively.
- Full‑time student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / CIS.
- Good understanding of .Net, C#, and SQL.
- Good understanding of logic, Boolean algebra, etc.
- Basic understanding of PC and network hardware and printers.
- Basic understanding of Crystal Reports a plus.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze systems.
- Highly motivated and results oriented.
- Aggressive approach to problem solving.
- Implement real‑time computer systems to improve lead time, quality, and reduce costs.
- Apply technology to improve business cost‑effectiveness.
- Hands‑on use of current technology.
- Integrate systems and functional areas with current and advanced technologies.
- Improve business with technology and creativity.
- Understand and improve software assets, especially Syte Line ERP and Airfoils Quality Control System (AQCS).
- Practice continuous improvement in business and application of technology.
