Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Life Skills Specialist based in Douglas, WY. The Life Skills Specialist will be responsible for planning and implementing programs and activities for youth that promote personal development, social skills, leadership, and self-confidence. The role includes mentoring, facilitating group activities, providing guidance on conflict resolution, goal-setting, and decision-making. The Life Skills Specialist will also collaborate with team members to create a safe and inclusive environment where participants feel supported in their growth and accomplishments.

Qualifications
  • Experience in youth mentorship, guidance, or coaching, with a strong understanding of personal and social development
  • Skills in program planning, implementing activities, and facilitating group discussions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with youth, families, and team members
  • Ability to handle conflict resolution effectively and promote teamwork and collaboration
  • Organizational skills to manage schedules, resources, and program documentation efficiently
  • Passion for working with youth and fostering their growth and leadership potential
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in youth development, social work, or related fields are a plus
  • CPR and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is desirable
