Schedule:
$30/hour Up to 5 hours/week
The job includes providing support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibility for developing at risk programming for students' success in academics, interpersonal skills, and post-secondary readiness, as well as developing lesson plans and delivering group and individualized student instruction within established curriculum guidelines, collaborating with teachers, other professional staff, and administrators, and responding to a wide range of inquiries/needs.
This job reports to the Director of Special Services.
Administers and provides, under supervision, appropriate care for children as assigned. Advises parents and/or legal guardians of student progress for the purpose of communicating expectations, student's achievements, developing methods for improvement, and/or reinforcing goals across settings. Assesses student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents, the student's team, and administration. Collaborates with instructional staff, other school personnel, parents and a variety of community stakeholders for the purpose of improving the overall quality of educational programming, increased student outcomes, and achieving objectives in support of the school improvement and district strategic plans.
Works cooperatively with students for the purpose of improving performance via problem solving techniques. Develops and delivers instruction academic instruction and executes them with fidelity. Manages student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment. Monitors students for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment. Participates in a variety of meetings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
Prepares a variety of written materials (e.g. grades, attendance, anecdotal records, etc.) for the purpose of documenting student progress.
Education:
Bachelors degree in education (content areas preferred: Math, English, or Special Education) Certificates and Licenses Wyoming PTSB Teaching Certification
