This is a stationary wind position in the Douglas/Casper WY area. Join Next Era Energy's Power Generation Team and become a Wind Technician at Next Era Energy. As a Wind Technician, you will be on the critical front-line to ensure the safe and optimal performance of all wind farm site operations. You will primarily focus on the safe execution of field-based equipment maintenance and diagnostics, as well as the long-term reliability and profitability of the equipment.

Additional duties may include:

• Executing Safety Management System procedures and instructions
• Conducting field work in compliance with OSHA applicable regulations
• Encouraging good employee safety practices and driving an unparalleled employee safety culture
• Troubleshooting and maintaining electrical components
• Troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical components
• Performing routine annual preventative maintenance of wind turbine components
• Operating the tablet provided to each technician
• Collaborating closely with internal Next Era users to develop and implement operation focused feedback and solutions for planned and unplanned maintenance, improvement projects, development, and financial performance
• Recruiting and developing other technicians for the ongoing development of team
• Supporting site manager for all phases of timely safety and environmental reporting, maintenance, financial reporting, and turbine availability
• Presenting a positive professional representation of Next Era Energy in the community and with the customer
• Participating in Business Lean Six Sigma processes and projects
• Active participation in the career development and Partners in Performance programs driving the annual merit & incentives rewards

Employees in this role perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbines and other associated equipment. Individuals understand the mechanics, including both electrical and maintenance of hydraulics, of all wind turbine components. This position replaces mechanical and electrical components, understands schematics and uses appropriate diagnostic tools. The successful candidate will interpret fault reports, maintain power generation reports, service logs in the computer database, and monitor turbine performance and SCADA systems.

Job duties and responsibilities include:

• Performing regular preventative maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment
• Completing electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting
• Maintaining all company supplied equipment, facilities and tooling
• Applying basic understanding of the technical and process functions
• Managing own training schedules and meeting all training requirements within designated time frames
• Able to meet attendance requirements
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned

Required qualifications:

• High School Grad / GED
• 0+ years experience
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
• Ability to climb a wind turbine up to 300 feet
• Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval

Preferred qualifications:

• Associate's Degree
