Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Class A-CDL Driver role based in Douglas, WY. The driver is responsible for safely operating commercial trucks, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and complying with all DOT regulations and company policies. Day-to-day tasks include mointoring & assisting loading and unloading freight as required, securing cargo, maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation, and communicating effectively with dispatch and customers.
The role also involves monitoring vehicle performance, reporting maintenance needs, and representing Solid Ground Trucking in a professional manner during all pickups and deliveries.
- Valid CDL Class A license and a clean driving record, demonstrating strong truck driving skills.
- Experience handling trucks and performing safe loading and unloading of freight.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements for commercial drivers.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic troubleshooting of truck-related issues.
- Strong attention to safety, time management, and route planning.
- Reliable communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience in the energy sector preferred, but we can train the right driver
