Sr. Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on accounting professional to oversee core accounting functions and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role will focus on monthly close processes, maintaining the general ledger, and performing reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, proficiency in Quick Books and Excel, and experience with ERP systems such as Great Plains.

• Lead monthly close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger, including preparation and posting of journal entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL) activities using Quick Books and Excel.
• Collaborate with production teams.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports for management review.

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of monthly close processes

  , and bank reconciliations

• Proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel
  ; experience with Great Plains highly preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems;
  Global Shop experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset.
• Experience in manufacturing or production environments is a plus.
