Job DescriptionJob Summary: The Head Girls Wrestling Coach is a vital and supportive member of the PCSD team, working collaboratively with educators, support staff, and administration to achieve the shared goal of ensuring all students receive the education they need to succeed both today and tomorrow. This role is performed within a school environment, overseen by the Athletic Director & School Principal, where teamwork and dedication to student success are paramount.
All staff are expected to fully adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, continuously demonstrating a strong understanding of the tasks and responsibilities their roles require. Moreover, they must embody the core belief that every action we take is driven by a commitment to the best interests of our students.
NOTE: External applicants, you must apply to the corresponding teaching position in addition to the coaching position.
Knowledge and Duties- Ability to manage Athletic Budget
- Ability to manage/lead athletic staff
- Build teamwork/leadership capacity in student athletes
- Comply with GHSA rules and regulations
- Ability to maintain a successful program

- Assess and encourage student progress
- Comply with state and district-level regulations and policies

Primary Function: Ability to provide instruction, assessing and encouraging student progress. Ability to manage the learning environment, complying with state and district level regulations and policies.

QualificationsA valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in assigned teaching field as required by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.

Ensure adherence to the Code of Ethics for Educators in Georgia, as established by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission
Integrate the use of technology and multi-media in the classroom
Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position
Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable and punctual manner
Participate in training programs and apply concepts learned in the classroom to increase student learning
Review current developments, literature and technical source information related to job responsibilities
Ensure adherence to appropriate safety procedures
Follow federal and state laws, as well as Board policies
Perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee
