Job Description

The City of Douglasville is now accepting applications for our Summer Internship Program!

This learning experience affords the students a view of the inner workings of city government. Each intern will have a variety of responsibilities and assigned projects that relate to their field of study. Each intern must be open to new ideas and suggestions, and be committed to completing the internship in its entirety. Interns also have the opportunity to participate in some special activities depending on the department assigned.

Internship Opportunity:

Selected students will participate in a meaningful and challenging spring internship that will allow each intern to have exposure to different facets of local government, and receive critical skills, and career and personal development training. Interns will work on a wide variety of tasks and projects within a cross-functional team of professionals and get exposure to leaders within the organization.

Typically, 40 hours per week;
The rate of pay will be paid at $20 per hour.

Eligibility Requirements:

• United States citizen or authorized to work in the United States
• Current enrollment in a Georgia college, university, or technical school
• Current grade point average of 3.0 or better
