Job Description:
Position Overview:
The successful Industrial Engineer will thrive in technical aspects and enjoy customer interaction and project management to support our nationwide network of distribution centers. Responsibilities include designing distribution center layouts, analyzing productivity, creating pricing models, and optimizing strategies. The candidate will follow Good Manufacturing Practices, report noncompliance, and observe safety rules.
Work Location: Within a commutable distance of Lithia Springs, GA, in the Atlanta Metro area.
Work Schedule: First Shift Hybrid - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm EST.
Work Travel: Less than 10% domestic travel.
Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 annually, plus performance bonuses, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Design, evaluate, and implement engineering projects.
- Develop pricing estimates for new opportunities.
- Optimize utilization of facilities, equipment, and personnel.
- Conduct studies and design systems to meet requirements.
- Review organizational functions and responsibilities.
- Propose automated warehousing solutions.
- Analyze storage and material handling processes.
- Improve warehouse flow and storage strategies.
- Perform ROI analyses for capital proposals.
- Create warehouse layouts using AutoCAD.
- Coordinate with vendors for capital projects.
- Develop solutions with customers and operations teams.
- Analyze processes and recommend improvements.
- Create workflow plans and conduct time studies.
- Re-evaluate work processes for productivity.
- Follow safety and manufacturing practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
This role is open to individuals authorized to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
- 2+ years experience in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of secondary packaging and/or manufacturing.
- Understanding of quality and safety concepts.
- WMS knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to analyze diverse data sets.
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Attention to detail and deadline-oriented.
- Flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP systems.
