Role:
The Emergency Department Nurse Leader oversees shift operations, including staffing, patient flow, and care delivery, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities:Lead patient throughput, coordinate department functions, supervise staff, monitor performance metrics, and facilitate communication among healthcare teams. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to policies. Provide patient and family interactions, support emergency preparedness, and contribute to strategic planning.
Qualifications & Skills:Requires an Associate, Diploma, or Bachelor's Nursing degree, valid RN license, and certifications in ACLS, PALS, BLS, and ENPC or TNCC. Minimum of 3 years of emergency nursing experience, with strong interpersonal, critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills. Leadership experience and clinical expertise are essential.
Key Duties:Oversee patient flow, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, evaluate care processes, participate in policy development, and provide staff performance feedback. Ensure culturally competent care and support staff development to improve patient outcomes and department efficiency.
