About Buggy Busters
Buggy Busters isn't your average retail store; we are one of the most remarkable extreme discount treasure hunts out there. With a headquarters in Douglasville, GA and locations in Hickory, NC and Morganton, NC, our business relies on moving massive volumes of liquidated merchandise at breakneck speeds through our high‑stakes online auctions and our famous 'bins'. For our customers it’s a highly competitive game where they dig for incredible deals on everything from electronics to home goods as prices drop daily.
For our team, this means stepping into a fast‑paced work environment. If you are attracted to a dynamic, 'startup' culture where everyone has potential to make a big impact, this is the place for you!
About the RoleBuggy Busters is hiring a Store Manager to lead retail and auction floor operations at our Douglasville location, the highest‑volume site that generates eight figures in annual revenue. This front‑line leadership role requires you to be on the floor during the hours that matter, working a schedule that matches the business (Monday–Saturday, including evenings when the nightly auction goes live), and building a team that delivers a great customer experience every day the doors are open.
If you want a desk job, this isn't it. If you want to run a high‑volume retail operation where your presence and standards directly drive the numbers, this is built for you.
What You'll Own- Full leadership of retail auction operations — the nightly setup/teardown crew that stages merchandise on the sales floor, and the Host/Checkout team that runs the customer experience.
- Oversight of the Bin Room.
- Customer satisfaction, sales performance, and margin across the retail floor.
- Building, coaching, and holding accountable a team of supervisors, team leads, and hourly staff — roughly 20 people today and growing.
- Partnering with the site’s Operations Manager on shared building priorities: closing procedures, security, and facility standards.
- Genuine customer‑first leadership; you want to be on the floor with your team and your customers, not behind a desk.
- Proven retail management experience in a high‑volume environment; auction, liquidation, or off‑price retail background is a strong plus.
- Willingness to work a six‑day schedule and be present during peak hours, including evenings.
- A track record of holding a team to real standards — leading from the front, not managing from behind.
- Comfort managing through a layer of supervisors and team leads while staying hands‑on when the floor needs it.
Starting at $75,000
