Senior Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary

Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians! You will make an impact as a maintenance technician by diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance duties for all commercial equipment to support our Walmart stores. You will be responsible to develop preventative maintenance schedules and complete assigned PMs in the timeframe outlined, as well as conduct training for Store Associates regarding care and cleaning of equipment.

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance duties on all commercial equipment.
• Develop preventative maintenance schedules and complete assigned PMs within the required time frames.
• Conduct training for Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning.
• Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
• Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
• Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules, providing required written and electronic documentation (e.g., expense vouchers, weekly summaries, maintenance logs).
• Use effective time management to achieve commitments.
• Adapt to changing demands, using judgment to identify priorities.

• 5 years' experience in maintenance.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• 1 year’s experience using intermediate-level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade; or 7 years' experience in one of those trades.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

• Previous experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
• Understanding of the importance of Customer Service and clear, transparent, respectful communication.
• Demonstrated personal accountability and effective time management.
• Solid judgment to identify priorities.
• Belief in Servant Leadership and ability to work as a team to achieve goals.
