Position: Accountant I

We are seeking a full-time Accountant I to join our accounting team at our headquarters in Kent, WA, to support the accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement of our financial operations. This role will partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, support month-end and year-end close activities, and contribute to process improvements that strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do
  • Daily General Accounting Support to include: preparation and entry of journal entries, account analysis, bank transaction entries and reconciliation
  • International office liaison to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Internal controls and tax filings
  • Manage the full Accounts Receivable cycle, including payment tracking, collections, and customer account reconciliation
  • Perform monthly and quarterly account analysis and reconciliations: analyze account transactions for accuracy and timing and making necessary adjustments as needed
  • Participate in full cycle cash management which includes the daily reconciling of: cash deposits, cash payments, calculation of cash balances
  • Cross train with other members of the accounting team for coverage
  • Maintain accounting records including cash postings, general ledger backup, accounts payable check activity and other records as needed
  • Support for Month-End closing
  • Other duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Four-year college degree preferred (accounting a plus)
  • 3+ years financial and general accounting experience (global emphasis a plus)
  • Understanding/experience with a fully integrated ERP system (experience with Infor CSI/Syteline a plus)
  • Manufacturing and intercompany experience strongly preferred
  • Full cycle Accounts Receivable experience including knowledge of invoicing, cash applications, and account reconciliations
  • Multi-site and multinational company activity experience such as Inter-Company AP and AR as well as entries involving currency and foreign exchange fluctuation preferred
  • Capable of adapting to company and departmental changes which may at times include changes to the accountant’s duties and responsibilities
  • Ability to perform complex accounting functions including analysis
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and be able to identify and solve problems
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and communication skills

Compensation
  • DCI is proud to offer comprehensive compensation packages including competitive base pay and discretionary quarterly profit sharing bonuses to all part-time and full-time team members. Base pay is reviewed at a minimum on an annual basis.
  • Pay range: $74,100 - $86,400
