Sound FX Automotive is looking for an experienced Automotive Shop Foreman who knows how to lead technicians, manage workflow, solve problems, and keep a busy automotive shop operating at a high level. This is a hands-on leadership position. We’re looking for someone who understands vehicles, knows how a professional shop should run, and can bring out the best in the people around them.

You’ll be responsible for keeping projects moving, supporting our technicians, maintaining quality standards, and making sure the vehicles leaving our facility represent the level of work customers expect from Sound FX. If you’ve spent years developing your automotive knowledge and you’re ready to use that experience to lead a team and take ownership of a shop , we want to talk.

As the Automotive Shop Foreman, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operation and workflow of our installation shop. You’ll be the person technicians turn to when they need direction, the person management relies on to keep production moving, and one of the final sets of eyes making sure our work is done right. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, supporting, and mentoring our team of automotive technicians
• Assigning daily projects based on technician skill level, workload, and project requirements
• Managing workflow and keeping scheduled projects on track
• Monitoring technician productivity, efficiency, and quality
• Providing hands-on technical guidance when challenges arise
• Helping diagnose complex vehicle and installation issues
• Performing quality-control inspections before vehicles are delivered
• Ensuring projects meet Sound FX standards for craftsmanship and vehicle care
• Training technicians and helping develop their skills
• Identifying opportunities to improve shop processes and efficiency
• Coordinating with sales and management on project status and scheduling
• Communicating delays, technical challenges, and additional needs before they become problems
• Maintaining a clean, organized, professional, and safe working environment
• Ensuring tools, equipment, materials, and supplies are properly maintained
• Helping resolve customer concerns when technical expertise is needed

• Significant professional automotive technician or mechanic experience
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and mechanical systems
• Previous leadership, foreman, shop management, or lead-technician experience
