Field Technician - Wilmington, DE
Responsible for supporting field operations and ensuring quality, compliance, and documentation on construction projects.
What You'll Do- Perform quality control review and testing for construction projects.
- Review activities and provide oversight on a variety of construction projects in geotechnical engineering and construction.
- Conduct field observation, testing, and sampling of soils, concrete masonry, and steel construction.
- Review, understand, and interpret project plans, specifications, shop drawings, product data, and RFIs.
- Complete field documentation in a timely manner: job safety analysis (JSA) forms, project field reports, field notes, soil, concrete, and asphalt datasheets, monitoring, and chain‑of‑custody forms.
- Recordkeeping and maintenance of testing equipment.
- Additional tasks may include laboratory testing of soils and concrete.
- Operate and maintain company vehicles.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience collecting soil, concrete, groundwater, or other construction material samples.
- 1+ years working in construction.
- Capable of working primarily outdoors (occasionally in office).
- Able to carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodation, sometimes over substantial distances.
- Valid driver’s license.
Starting salary $20.00 per hour; final compensation based on qualifications and licensing status.
