is looking for a
Costing Manager
to join our team! The Costing Manager is responsible for providing financial and operational expertise within the Foxlane Homes Delaware Division, directly supporting the team in establishing, controlling, and analyzing homebuilding construction costs and divisional profitability. This role is responsible for managing a comprehensive cost control system to ensure that each home is built within budget and recommend process improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the team in analyzing and controlling construction costs and profits for all homes within the division.
  • Manage a cost control system that effectively and accurately measures costs and production variances and allows for accurate projections of operating results.
  • Work with divisional, regional and corporate peers to drive continuous improvement of costs, processes, and systems, and ensure consistency of costing methods across the company.
  • Build relationships, improve upon and seek new vendors to expand the subcontractor base
  • Initiate agreements and negotiations with sub-contractors that will maximize value, quality and delivery to Foxlane Homes and the home buyer.
  • Update and maintain sales, pricing and cost information for all active and future communities.
  • Project costs for new home designs and product offerings as part of the overall Division business plan.
  • Review plans for standardization of components, options, and construction methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with a team and independently.
  • Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Experience with Mark Systems and ITK is a plus, but not required.
  • Estimating / take off experience a plus.
Requirements:
  • 2+years of experience in purchasing, estimating or a related field.
  • Prior costing experience with a builder or in the homebuilding/construction industry is a plus, but not required.
  • Prior experience in sourcing, bidding is also a plus, but not required.
