Neurowood is an AI-native film studio producing original features, animation and series. Our slate holds eight original IPs across three formats, with two titles already publicly released (crabs.film, third-heaven.art) and a team of 70+ filmmakers across four continents.
We're looking for completed feature screenplays that cannot be shot at the current economics of live-action production — stories of a scale and visual daring traditional studios won't take on. If your story could be shot with a normal camera on a normal stage, it's probably not for us. If it would require building worlds that don't exist, we want to read it.
WHATWE'RE LOOKING FOR
- International from the ground up — the story has to work for an audience anywhere, with no local context that needs explaining
- Family viewing. Broadly commercial cinema a family can watch together
- Animation welcome, including animation aimed at children but carrying questions adults will think about
- Fundamental themes — a person, a choice, love, fear, hope. Stories that leave a mark
What does AI make possible in this particular story? If the answer is "nothing, it's just cheaper," it isn't the right fit. If the answer is "without it this story couldn't be told at all," we very much want to read it.
ABOUT MEI'm Head of Development at Neurowood. I'm a screenwriter myself, with feature and television credits, and I've spent years as a script editor on other writers' material — structure, character logic and revisions to production. My editorial work spans fantasy, action, adventure, sci-fi and animation. Alongside that I run a screenwriting laboratory for emerging authors, which means I read the way an editor reads: closely, and with written notes rather than a yes or no.
The location is listed as Dover, DE, but we accept submissions from writers anywhere in the world.
I’m very interested in the Screenwriter role r focus on AI-native filmmaking and world-scale storytelling strongly aligns with my work as a professional screenwriter and script editor across multiple genres.
I specialize in story development, structure, character, dialogue, and cinematic world-building, with a strong interest in projects that push beyond traditional production limits.
I would welcome the opportunity to contribute and can provide writing samples or full scripts upon request.
