Dental Hygienist - Clinic

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Dental Hygienist to work at a facility in Dover, DE.

Pay Rate: $61 per hour.

Work together with the dentist to meet the oral health needs of the patient. Provide a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team‑based environment. Handle a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations, requiring exceptional customer service skills and a strong commitment to teamwork with patients, doctors, dental assistants, and other office staff.

• Operate GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment.
• Provide oral hygiene treatment and education, following state guidelines.
• Apply fluoride and protective sealants; remove calculus, stain, and plaque from above and below the gum line.
• Provide nutritional counseling and self‑care programs to prevent disease.
• Record and review patient medical histories.
• Uphold office policy, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Order and manage inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.

This job operates in a medical/clinical, well‑lit sterile environment. Employees use standard office equipment such as computers, x‑rays, and phones, wear gloves, masks, protective eyewear, and clothing to protect against infectious disease. Employees frequently talk, hear, stand or sit for long periods, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.

Exposure to blood and blood‑borne pathogens requires OSHA training.

• Minimum one year of hands‑on experience as a hygienist.
• Experience operating GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene school.

• Current state‑issued Dental Hygiene license.
• CPR certification.
• X‑ray training or certification.
