Internship Description
The Industrial Design Intern will support product design for smart hardware, consumer electronics, wearable devices, medical/health products, or IoT products. The intern will work on research, sketches, 3D modeling, rendering, and final design presentation under mentor guidance.
Responsibilities- Conduct user research and competitor analysis
- Create product concepts, sketches, and user scenarios
- Build 3D models and renderings using tools such as Solid Works, Fusion 360, Rhino, Blender, or Key Shot
- Support CMF design, including color, material, and finish exploration
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and business teams to improve product feasibility and user experience
- Prepare portfolio-ready design visuals and final project presentations
- Background in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, HCI, or a related field
- Familiar with at least one 3D modeling or rendering tool
- Basic understanding of product design, user experience, and prototyping
- Interest in smart hardware, consumer electronics, medical devices, wearables, or IoT products
