Position: Early Childhood Education (ECE) School Speech Language Pathologist - Camden Wyoming, Delaware

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide specialized support within an early childhood educational setting serving children ages 2-5. This contract role spans the full academic school year and is located in Camden Wyoming, DE. The focus is on delivering comprehensive early intervention speech and language services, aiding students with diverse communication challenges to foster successful learning and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in early childhood students.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide direct therapy in individual, small group, or integrated classroom settings.
  • Consult with educators, parents, and support staff to integrate speech and language goals into the curriculum.
  • Monitor, document, and maintain accurate records of student progress in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility assessments, and transition planning.
  • Support early intervention and preschool special education programs, including inclusive classroom models.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and legal requirements.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure and/or certification (ASHA CCC‑SLP, CFY eligible, or state‑specific certification).
  • Experience working with preschool‑aged children in public school or early intervention settings preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, early literacy, play‑based learning, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with diverse student populations.
  • Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and special education eligibility procedures.
