Postlethwait Middle School is currently seeking an Additional Support Paraprofessional for the current school year to support the the individual IEP, programming and instructional needs of an existing student.

QUALIFICATIONS: Individuals who currently hold or are eligible for an Instructional Para educator Permit are encouraged to apply.

To qualify for a State of Delaware Instructional Para educator permit, you must meet one of the following criteria:

• Possess a high school diploma or recognized equivalent and achieve a passing score of 459 or higher on the Para Pro Assessment (ETS Para Pro)

OR

• Hold an associate degree or have completed a minimum of 60 semester hours from a regionally accredited institution, with a grade of "C" or better in each course (final approval of accepted credits is determined by the Delaware Department of Education).

Important: Please do not apply unless you meet at least one of the minimum requirements listed above. Passing Para Pro scores must be on file with the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) prior to applying, unless you meet the alternative degree/credit requirement. Please use Reporting Code R7065 when requesting to have test scores sent to DDOE.

SALARY: In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and degree. Benefits package included.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
• All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
