Campus Community School is a K-8 Charter School located in Dover, De. We strive to develop lifelong passionate learners and responsible citizens, through a Responsive Classroom approach.

Description:The Dean of Students is an active member of the school leadership team, promoting a positive, safe, and inclusive school environment for all students and staff. This position focuses on student behavior and discipline, student support, and school culture. The Dean works closely with staff, students, and families to implement proactive systems that support student development, social-emotional learning, and accountability. The Dean also oversees the Student Support team at Campus Community.

10-month position / $60,000 - $80,000 starting salary depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Summary:
  • Oversee school-wide behavior expectations, systems, and data.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians regarding behavior incidents and consequences
  • Work collaboratively with all school staff to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Provide training as needed.
  • Participate in student support meetings and PLCs as necessary.
  • Help to supervise student transitions, arrival, dismissal, lunch, etc.
  • Occasional evening duties/hours related to school events and/or related responsibilities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Education, counseling, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful experience working in a school or similar setting with students
  • Prior experience with behavior management and leadership preferred

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with restorative practices, trauma-informed care, and SEL frameworks
  • An understanding and belief in the Responsive Classroom approach
  • Proficient with technology and all Microsoft Office programs
  • Maintain CPI certification for self and others
