Overview
Postlethwait Middle School is currently seeking an Additional Support Paraprofessional for the current school year to support the individual IEP, programming and instructional needs of an existing student.
QualificationsIndividuals who currently hold or are eligible for an Instructional Para educator Permit are encouraged to apply.
RequirementsTo qualify for the permit, you must meet one of the following:
Option 1
- Hold a high school diploma or recognized equivalent AND
- Meet testing requirements by either:
- Earning a qualifying score of 459 on the Para Pro Assessment (1755) (available through August 31, 2026), or
- Achieving scores of 332 on Para Pathways:
Reading and Writing (5758) and 334 on Para Pathways:
Mathematics (5759)
Option 2
- Hold an associate degree or have completed a minimum of 60 semester hours from a regionally accredited institution, with a grade of "C" or better in each course
(Final approval of accepted credits is determined by the Delaware Department of Education.)
