Description:
Summer School Special Education Paraprofessionals - 2026
Terms of Employment:
June 24 - Aug. 6 (Monday - Thursday)
Time is site specific
Reports to: Building Principal
Salary: Capital Employees - per diem rate
Non-Capital Employees - standard para rate of $24.12 per hour (must show proof of 60+ hours completed higher education or passing score on Para Pro test)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with tutoring or teaching students preferred
- Assists with planning and implementing the KCCS instructional programs
- Participates in training and planning
- Assists with instruction in a spirit of enthusiasm and teamwork
- Assist with daily learning experiences to motivate children and to maximize academic achievement for all children
- Follows rules for safety plan and an orderly sign-in and dismissal
- Reliable, punctual, and prepared to help facilitate the summer school experience
- Work cooperatively with all students and staff
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

- Favorable Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check for the candidate who is offered employment
