• Certified or eligible for a School Nurse Certificate
• RN – Current State of Delaware license with three years clinical experience
• Experience with students who have complex health and cognitive needs preferred
• Experience with early childhood students preferred

• Nursing services required for the care and health of all students in the building
• Carry out the daily functions of a school nurse, including but not limited to:
  • Be on call for emergencies
  • Administer basic first aid
  • Dispense medication
  • Provide nursing care for students to include daily meds, PRN meds, tube feedings, and nursing assessment if necessary
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of all nursing interventions and medication administration in Health Accounting and Infinite Campus
• Record keeping of student files to include medical history, required school health entry records and medical updates from MD visits throughout the school year
• Be reliable, punctual, and prepared to help facilitate the school experience
• Communicate and collaborate with school team, parent/guardian, and MD related to medical needs and care of the student, including participation in IEP/504 and team meetings
• Support students and staff through health education
• Accompany classes with students with medical needs on field trips
• May be reassigned to another building if daily nursing coverage so requires
• Additional duties as assigned by District Supervisor and Principal
