Library Page - Part-Time

Salary range: DOE Labor Grade 12 / $16.65 Per Hour (Based on Qualifications)

The City of Dover is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of part-time Library Page in the Dover Public Library.

• Shelving library materials
• Shelf-reading in assigned areas
• Shift library materials to make room for new acquisitions
• Direct customers to library collections and resources
• Refer customers to appropriate staff for assistance

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred
• Applicants must be able to put materials in numerical and alphabetical order
• Able to communicate effectively in English, using spoken and written means
• Requires standing, walking and bending, all the time
• Retrieve carts and rolling bins that may weigh up to 150 pounds or more
• Lift arms above shoulder level, bends and reaches above and below the waist on a continuous basis
• Basic computer skills including use of personal computers, calculator, computer scanner, and copier

A criminal background investigation will be required. Candidates may be given a job-related test during the interview.
