• Valid special education teaching certification
• Experience working with elementary students, ideally in K-5 settings
• Expertise supporting students with mild to severe behavioral challenges
• Skilled in developing and implementing effective IEPs
• Comfort and experience leading a self-contained classroom
• Collaborative mindset, able to work well with paras and other staff
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

• Deliver individualized instruction tailored to IEP goals
• Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment for all learners
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals to support students’ daily needs
• Engage with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams as an advocate for students
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Foster social, emotional, and academic growth among all students
