ResponsibilitiesLead multi‑discipline engineering teams delivering critical substation programs and projects for utility and mission‑critical clients across the United States. Key duties include:
- Managing substation engineering projects from early concept through detailed design, construction support, and commissioning, including breaker and transformer replacements, bay additions, and protection relay upgrades.
- Defining scope, schedule, staffing, and cost for proposals, partnering with sales to produce compliant, competitive submissions.
- Directing multi‑discipline teams (physical, P&C, civil/structural) and coordinating compliance deliverables to meet quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
- Overseeing quality, risk, schedule, and change management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentoring and leading project teams, providing guidance, review, and ensuring adherence to discipline and quality standards.
- Serving as the primary client contact and liaison during project execution to deliver a superior client experience.
- Applying engineering expertise and innovative problem‑solving to address complex challenges.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 10 years of related experience.
- PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list).
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Experience with design‑build and/or EPC project delivery, including procurement coordination, construction oversight, and commissioning/turnover support.
- Portfolio‑level substation program planning and execution experience (e.g., multi‑site capital programs).
- Data center/misson‑critical substation experience under accelerated schedules.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred (discipline aligned to project needs).
- Additional credentials such as CCM, DBIA, or mission‑critical commissioning certifications are a plus.
