This Engineering/Planning/Surveying Technician III position coordinates utility work and relocations for capital projects, working with utility companies, designers, and contractors to identify utilities, resolve conflicts, and minimize construction impacts. The role involves inspecting infrastructure for compliance with design plans and codes, reviewing engineering layouts and submissions, collecting survey data, and tracking project activity through construction completion. The position is Report When Contacted and may require response during emergency situations and severe weather.
Keyqualifications
- Six months experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, and technical drawings for compliance
- Six months experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Six months experience using automated information systems to enter, update, retrieve, and report data
- Knowledge of coordinating public utility relocations in roadway or bridge construction contracts
- Knowledge of public utility relocation laws, rules, and regulations
- Valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked, or cancelled)
