Job Overview:
The Mortgage Loan Officer will originate mortgage loans (purchase and refinances including Conventional, FHA, USDA, VA, First Time Home Buyers) in the Delaware area.
- Provide service to customers and prospective customers seeking residential mortgage loans.
- Interview applicants to gather information about financial situation, needs, property, and analyze data.
- Ensure the customer understands the loan process from application through closing.
- Keep informed of trends and developments in the local real estate market and changing rules and regulations related to private and government‑insured residential mortgages.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- At least three years of experience marketing and originating residential mortgage loans.
- Effective sales skills, strong customer service, and excellent time management.
- Self‑motivated, capable of working independently and willing to travel to branch locations, customers’ homes and businesses for presentations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; proficiency with industry‑standard mortgage origination software strongly preferred.
Salary Range: $35,563 – $35,563. Base salary may vary by experience and location. Eligible for commissions based on production.
