Position Summary
Under close supervision, the Junior Property Compliance Analyst will complete a variety of assignments related to tenant file compliance with Section 42, focusing on 24 CFR Part 5 income‑eligibility regulations and other designated tasks. The role follows established procedures and guidance to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and proficiency in affordable housing compliance standards.
Responsibilities- Complete pre‑ and post‑occupancy tenant file compliance reviews and reports for designated clients, following guidelines and supervisory directions.
- Identify and elevate potential problem areas during engagements.
- Conduct research on federal and/or state compliance regulations and apply findings under supervisory guidance.
- Work within a deadline‑driven environment with oversight to meet established productivity and accuracy standards, and meet or exceed file review productivity benchmarks.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; at least one year of relevant experience in Section 42, Section 8, or other government housing programs focused on 24 CFR Part 5 income eligibility, or an appropriate balance of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., COS, HCCP) are preferred; candidates without certification should be willing to obtain it within two years of employment. Additional company-sponsored certifications may also be required or encouraged.
- Knowledge of tenant file compliance rules and regulations, including the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act (HOTMA).
- Proactive, self‑motivated, with the ability to identify issues, ask thoughtful questions, and seek clarification or additional work as appropriate.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and apply compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and complete work accurately and efficiently with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills, follow direction, accept constructive feedback, and adjust as needed.
- Collaborative, team‑oriented, contributing ideas that add value.
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and report‑writing tools.
- Professional demeanor with coworkers and clients, adhering to internal deadlines and administrative requirements such as time entry.
- Available to work evenings and weekends as needed, and to travel domestically (expected 25‑35% of the time, depending on workload).

- Compensation: $48,000 to $65,000 depending on experience; potential for higher pay with additional experience.
