General Summary
The Consult Liaison Psychologist is a highly skilled and compassionate licensed psychologist with expertise in Consultation-Liaison Psychology. This position will work within an interdisciplinary team, providing psychological services to inpatient patients with both primary and secondary psychiatric diagnoses on the inpatient medical floors and experiencing severe medical trauma in the Emergency Department (ED). The successful candidate will be a strong generalist and play a key role in enhancing the overall care of patients by addressing the psychological and emotional impacts of trauma, collaborating with medical teams, and conducting individual, group, and family interventions.
The candidate chosen for this position will provide evidence-based brief interventions (CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness skills) to a variety of patients and family members who present on our inpatient medical floors and to the ED with psychiatric and health-related distress. Part of the clinician’s regular duties will also include following up with patients who are admitted to acute medicine (inpatient medical) floors from our ED or coordinating care with Behavioral Medicine team members.

Required:
One (1) year of clinical experience working with medically ill patients in a hospital setting.
