Veteran Liaison​/Veteran Services Coordinator

The Loop Roots Foundation is a nonprofit, tax‑exempt organization dedicated to supporting justice‑impacted families through transportation, therapy, and technology‑driven programs. Our mission is to remove the physical, financial, and emotional barriers that prevent families from maintaining meaningful connections with incarcerated loved ones, accessing mental health care, or navigating reentry. Founded in 2025, the Loop Roots Foundation operates nationally, with an initial focus on underserved communities in Maryland, Arizona, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, California, and Virginia.

Our key initiatives include:

• Loop Connect – a ride‑credit sponsorship platform that provides free or subsidized rides to prison visitation facilities, allowing families to stay in contact during incarceration.
• Loop Talk – a HIPAA‑compliant virtual therapy program offering trauma‑informed mental health care to justice‑impacted individuals and caregivers, including children.
• Loop Troop Rideshare Partnership – we collaborate with the Loop Troop Rideshare platform to ensure families have access to safe, reliable, and culturally competent transportation services.

The Loop Roots Foundation is committed to using community‑based, technology‑enabled tools to restore dignity, promote healing, and reduce generational harm. All of our programs are offered without discrimination to build a truly supportive ecosystem for families across the U.S.

Loop Roots Foundation provides reentry support for justice‑impacted individuals, focusing on veterans and those navigating substance use challenges. We help participants access VA benefits, housing, employment, and recovery resources to successfully reintegrate into their communities.

The Veteran Liaison will be the primary contact for veteran participants, ensuring proper documentation, access to benefits, and integration of veteran‑specific supports within the reentry program.

• Verify veteran status and assist with DD214 and other documentation
• Coordinate veteran‑specific referrals for benefits, housing, and employment
• Serve as a liaison with VA offices and veteran service organizations
• Support intake and onboarding for veteran participants
• Track participant progress and outcomes for reporting and grant compliance

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field
• Experience working with veterans, preferably justice‑impacted populations
• Knowledge of VA benefits, veteran resources, and community supports
• Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with case management tools (Zoho, CRM, or similar) preferred
