Social Services Coordinator

Position Overview

The candidate will work alongside program leadership to support program management, budgeting, contracts, reporting processes, and federal compliance. This role requires someone who can work independently, apply sound judgment in both structured and gray area situations, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support program management for the Bureau.
• Assist with budgets, contracts, and grant related administrative processes.
• Prepare contracts and create templates for reporting and documentation.
• Review content for monthly reporting, including data quality and federal requirements.
• Coordinate and send out program information, resources, and messaging.
• Maintain organization of program materials, visits, and federal compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with staff in a team-oriented environment while managing tasks independently.
• Work comfortably with vulnerable families and understand public health standards.

Preferred Skillset & Experience

• Background in social services, public health, or related fields.
• Experience in supervision or direct service is highly valued.
• Strong writing, communication, and proofreading abilities.
• Administrative strengths including organization, task management, and documentation.
• Ability to manage both structured responsibilities and areas with ambiguity.
• Experience in social marketing or messaging is a plus.

Work Environment

• Onsite work required for initial training (5 days/week), with potential for reduced onsite presence over time.
• Collaborative team including leadership, budget/contract staff.
• Virtual first round interviews.
