Dover Behavioral Health System is seeking a front desk Full Time to provide high quality service to internal and external customers. This position will report to the Director of the Access and Referral Center.
Essential duties include- Answer and respond to incoming telephone calls promptly and in a pleasant, courteous and clear manner;
Direct calls to the appropriate party - Represent the hospital and deliver high quality customer service to visitors in the lobby
- Provide and collect registration paperwork and conduct quality checks every 15 minutes for all potential patients
- Prepare families for visitation including tagging belongings, verifying identification, screening visitors for contraband, etc.
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge for the hospital’s emergency code procedures and intercom codes when necessary
- Import patient registration data into access AS400 system and verify Medicaid coverage on DMAP.
- Provide routine hospital-related information to callers and visitors; forward any requests that require clinical or more detailed information to the appropriate party
- Collect and deliver incoming mail, including courier services
- Maintain reception materials to include registration documents, sign in books; make copies as needed
- Manage the reception cash box by performing a reconciliation at beginning and end of shift, selling meal tickets, and documenting cash transactions
- Provide clerical support to other departments as needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer services skills
- 1 year of experience in a hospital setting
