The Clinical Supervisor of Home and Community Support Services will assist in providing training and overseeing the High Fidelity Wraparound Vendor services, CFTSS, and Children's HCBS programs. This employee works closely with program and administrative staff, exercising sound judgement consistently. This versatile position requires strong technical skills, high motivation, attention to detail, strong communication, and organization.

Major Responsibilities/Activities
  • Ensure that client services, standards and practices are provided to the satisfaction of the community of Erie County and the guidelines and policies of Child and Family Services, the Erie County Department of Social Services and Office of Mental Health, the New York State Office of Mental Health and the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children, Inc.
  • Provide administrative support to employees and supervisor
  • Possess a working knowledge of the electronic record systems
  • Responsible for treating staff and clients with respect to their culturally diverse backgrounds
  • Provide coaching and supervision as assigned
  • Review and provide feedback regarding the provision of services and documentation to ensure quality and compliance
  • Participate in the agency Quality Improvement Process and other agency meetings including in-service trainings, supervision and staff meetings as requested
  • Demonstrate skills in problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Model and practice sensitivity, fairness and acceptance of diversity in all interpersonal interactions
  • Performs other appropriate duties, as assigned
Direct Care
  • Carry a reduced caseload to serve clients within the community
  • Complete electronic client files, administrative tasks and statistical reports in a timely manner
  • Maintain positive working relationships with other professionals, community agencies and team members
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to cultural and ethnic norms
  • Participate in team meetings
  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling to a diverse population with many challenges
  • Collaborate with other treatment providers and collaterals, as appropriate
  • Complete and submit required documentation in a timely manner (e.g. progress notes, treatment plans, etc.)
  • Maintain positive working relationships with program/agency staff, collaborating agencies, and stakeholders
  • Continue professional growth and training in best practices, as necessary/appropriate (e.g. cultural competencies)
  • Attend coaching/supervision meetings as required
  • NYS Education Department license in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • At least one year of experience providing direct services for children with one or more of the following primary diagnoses: mental illness, alcoholism, chemical dependency and substance abuse
  • Demonstrated cultural competence in understanding and working with disadvantaged/minority populations in community-based programs in an urban and suburban setting
  • A valid NYS driver’s license is required
  • Computer literacy required, experience with Anasazi preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Competitive Pay Rate of $68,500 annually
