Job Summary
Under the direction of the Site Manager and Radiology Supervisor, demonstrate competency and actively function in Interventional and General Radiography procedures.

Salary Range: 37.07 - 57.47 hourly
Responsibilities- Prepares procedure room and patient for all interventional and x‑ray studies. Properly disinfect all equipment after each patient, following cleaning policies and protocols. All dirty linen should be disposed and replaced after every patient. Monitor patient flow for efficient daily operations.
- Educate patient regarding ordered procedure and answers any related question. Obtain patient history and written consent for exam. Verify patient information, check for appropriate ICD‑9/10 codes. Utilize appropriate patient safety screening/consent forms to ensure all safety precautions have been addressed prior to procedure.
- Perform Interventional Radiology procedures in accordance with established protocols. Position patients and select appropriate equipment necessary to accomplish all procedures depending upon the age of the patient and the physical capabilities. Monitor patient during procedures; notify Radiologist of reactions or problems. Assist the radiologists when necessary. Venipuncture must be performed to a high quality standard. Every effort must be made to minimize patient discomfort.
- Competence with HIS, RIS, PHS and PACS. Demonstrates and maintains proficiency on all computer software and systems that are used daily in Diagnostic Imaging following established HIPAA guidelines. Each technologist is required to verify patient information, check for appropriate ICD‑9 codes and perform other pertinent job functions necessary to process images for Bayhealth to provide the referring physicians with an accurate final report in a timely manner.
Ensure quality images for all completed procedures prior to sending to the PACS System. - Maintain adequate supplies. Responsible for stocking the room, as assigned, at the beginning of each shift and throughout the day to ensure that the room is always ready to perform the required procedures. Be aware of supply needs and par levels, and report all items that fall below par level to the designated person.

- Education:
Associate Degree;
Radiologic Technology - Credential(s):
Basic Life Support Registered Technologist, Radiography Medical Radiologic Technologist - Experience:
18 months experience in Radiology. Competency in components of Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional, as appropriate.
