Wentworth Health Partners Cardiology offers expert care in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of heart disease to enhance your overall health. We are a full-service practice offering a full range of cardiology services including, general and interventional cardiology, heart failure, interventional procedures, electrophysiology, device implants, anticoagulation management and more.

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Clinic/Practice Assistant to support our practice Monday through Friday, between 8:30am and 5:00pm. The primary location for this position is 19 Old Rollinsford Road in Dover, NH.

Clinic/Practice Assistants play an integral part in the operations of our community-based physician practices. Dedicated to administrative support, our Clinic/Practice Assistants serve as the gatekeepers of our practices and ensure that teams are delivering the highest quality experience that exceeds our patients' expectations.

We are looking for well-rounded customer service professionals who can multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a high-volume outpatient setting!

Other duties include fielding all incoming telephone calls and routing appropriately, performing referral/diagnostic/lab orders processing duties, monitoring patient flow and waiting room activity, and providing general support to practice leadership, clinicians, and peers.

We do our best to keep all employees in their assigned practices and locations; however, you may also be asked to float to other departments in the WHP system when appropriate and needed during times of staffing shortages/other extenuating circumstances for cross-coverage purposes and to ensure adequate coverage and support.

Performs both administrative and clinical functions to support smooth and efficient clinical service or practice operations under general supervision. Performs basic clerical work and tasks that are repetitive and routine. Administrative duties related to patient visits including scheduling, check-in, check-out duties. Actual job duties may vary by Department.

Essential Functions:

* Perform routine administrative and clerical duties relating to a clinical service or physician practice office.

* Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records.

* Greet and assist patients.

* Answer telephones, assist callers with routine inquiries, and schedule appointments.

* File materials in patient folders, and print appointment schedules.

* Process patient billing forms and scan documents to patient medical record/LMR.

* Call for patient medical records and laboratory test results.

* Open and distribute unit mail or faxes.

* Type forms, records, schedules, memos, etc., as directed.

* May be required to accept co-payments.

* Handles, screens and/or takes messages related to prior authorizations,

* provider questions, prescription refills, and test results.

* Acts as "Super User" for scheduling, registration and billing systems.

* Provides assistance and training to others in these areas.

* May perform more complex or specialized functions (i.e. surgical scheduling, schedule changes/blocking) at more advanced competency level.

Qualifications
