Job Summary
Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Dover, Delaware. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient recovery.
Responsibilities- Evaluate patients’ conditions using tests, examinations, and history to identify functional limitations.
- Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
- Implement PT treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain.
- Operate and maintain physical therapy equipment and modalities safely.
- Document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention.
- Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols.
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities.
- Participate in discharge planning and other assigned duties within scope of practice.
- Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- Doctorate degree in physical therapy.
- Existing PT experience; new graduates are welcome.
- Additional certifications or licenses as required.
- Critical thinking, service‑excellence, and strong interpersonal communication.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.
- PC skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physical ability to remain stationary, lift 50‑100 lbs, push, pull, and bend.
- Interpersonal aptitude to collaborate with varied personnel.
- Technical skill to perform fine manipulation and use equipment.
- Mental resilience to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Sensory aptitude for visual acuity and effective communication.
