School Psychologist in Delaware

Job Description

Minimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.

Location: New Castle, DE
Position Type: Full-Time
School Year:

• Provide psychological evaluations, assessments, and consultations for students.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Support students' emotional, social, and academic development through counseling and intervention strategies.
• Conduct observations and provide remendations to improve classroom management and instructional strategies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and address students' needs.
• Offer crisis intervention and provide immediate support in emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, interventions, and progress.

• Masters Degree or Doctorate in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised internship or practicum in school psychology.

• Delaware Department of Education Certification as a School Psychologist.
• Must pass the Praxis School Psychologist examination.
• Completion of a state-approved School Psychologist preparation program.
• Valid certification from the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) is preferred but not mandatory.
