X Ray Technician

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic X‑ray tech for a busy Urgent Care in the City of Wilmington. We are expanding and are looking for additional Team Members! We are looking for a full‑time X‑ray tech to work full‑time 3 12‑hour shifts including every other weekend and one shift 8‑2 pm or 2‑8 pm.

• Verifying patients’ identity and reviewing orders before beginning x‑ray procedures.
• Using x‑ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients.
• Practicing radiation safety and preventive steps to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation.
• Performing accurate x‑ray exams as ordered by a clinician.
• Preparing the x‑ray room prior to exam.
• Explaining the radiology procedure to patients.
• Ensuring the patient is positioned properly according to protocol.
• Adjusting equipment to obtain the correct angle.
• Transferring the patient to the imaging table (may involve lifting, bracing and/or supporting the patient’s body weight).
• Standing, walking, frequent reaching and bending, maneuvering the x‑ray machine, and constant positioning of patients (lifting and carrying).

• Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist school.
• State license (dependent on State requirements).
• ARRT certification or in the process of obtaining it.
• BLS certification (preferred).
• ARRT certification (preferred).

Full‑time

$22.00 – $30.00 per hour

BLS Certification (Preferred), ARRT Certification (Preferred).
