Must have a Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field;
Board Certified Behavior Analyst as credentialed by the BACB;
Delaware certified School Behavior Analyst

Qualifications:

3-5 years teaching experience preferred. Clean Criminal Background Check and Child Protection Registry and TB Clearance required prior to employment Salary:
Teacher salary schedule based on experience and degree.

Responsibilities Include:

Conducting assessments related to the need for behavioral intervention (e.g., stimulus preference assessment, functional assessment) or for evaluating behavioral interventions;
Designing, implementing, and systematically monitoring skill-acquisition and behavior reduction programs;
Overseeing the implementation of behavior-analytic programs by others;
Training others including caregivers and staff, designing behavioral systems, and performance management related to concerns impacting educational progress;
Communicating and collaborating effectively with caregivers and other professionals;
Other activities normally performed by a behavior analyst that are directly related to behavior analysis, such as attending planning meetings regarding the behavior-analytic program and researching the literature that is relevant to a current client's programming;
Oversee and manage the district's Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT's) and provide ongoing support and supervision as it relates to the implementation and documentation associated with Behavior Support Plans;
Other related duties as may be required. The BCBA will:
Have a caseload and work with teachers and other specialists to address the behavioral needs of the students. Consult with psychologists on more challenging cases to offer behavioral guidance as needed. Attend IEPs of students for which behavior is identified as focus area for improvement.
