Cardiac Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Perform cardiac diagnostic imaging procedures to assess patients’ heart health with precision and professionalism. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of diagnostic information to support clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct echocardiogram studies, including transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, Color-flow Doppler, Transesophageal, Exercise stress, and pharmacological echocardiography.
• Perform other cardiac diagnostics such as EKGs, Holter monitoring, and stress tests.
• Operate mechanical devices like echo cardiographs, cardiac stress systems, electrocardiographs, and Holter monitors to obtain optimal diagnostic data.
• Review hospital information systems to manage scheduling, processing, and billing of studies efficiently.
• Apply infection control practices, including aseptic techniques and equipment disinfection.
• Provide clinical guidance and preceptorship to students from contracted colleges and universities, supporting their practical training.

Qualifications:

• Successfully complete a certification program in cardiac sonography or possess two years of hands-on echocardiography experience.
• Hold a high school diploma or GED.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pediatric and neonatal echocardiography, with experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Possess certification as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer or equivalent credentials.
