General
Summary:
The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician II is a healthcare employee who performs specific job responsibilities under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician II position will utilize and extend knowledge and competency while performing technical pharmacy functions of the Inpatient Pharmacy. They must have an active certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for providing pharmacy services, including, but not limited to, distributing pharmaceuticals, performing inventory control, assisting in the maintenance, preparation and distribution of intravenous admixtures, compliance audits, providing customer service, and maintaining pharmacy records.
The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician II may assist in the training of staff under the direction and guidance of the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor and/or designee.
In addition to the above, the Inpatient Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for working with Chemotherapy/Oncology and/or RIVA (KGH Only).

Two (2) years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
