We are seeking an experienced Patient Financial Services AR Manager to lead insurance Accounts Receivable operations for a healthcare organization in Dover, Delaware.

This position will oversee patient financial services activities related to insurance billing, account follow-up, collections, reimbursement, credit balances, denials, reconciliation, and overall AR performance. The ideal candidate will have strong hospital revenue cycle experience, proven leadership capabilities, and a solid understanding of payer requirements.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of patient accounting, revenue cycle, or third-party reimbursement experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Hospital Patient Financial Services management experience.
  • Experience with Epic Hospital Billing (HB) and Professional Billing (PB).
  • Experience with Epic AR/ARCR processes or certification.
  • Experience with Medicare/Medicaid portals, including Novitasphere.
  • Experience with payer escalation and denial management.
  • CPAM or CRCR certification.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise staff responsible for insurance Accounts Receivable activities.
  • Manage insurance AR across hospital and professional billing functions.
  • Monitor billing, collections, account follow-up, reimbursement, reconciliation, and overall AR performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payer requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, reimbursement, collection, and financial performance.
  • Analyze AR trends, denials, payer performance, and financial losses and develop corrective action plans.
  • Monitor and resolve insurance credit balances.
  • Review payer and vendor performance and address issues affecting reimbursement.
  • Develop and maintain operational reports, dashboards, benchmarks, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with Revenue Cycle, employed physician practices, and other departments to improve billing and collection processes.
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a hands-on revenue cycle leader who understands healthcare AR from both an operational and financial perspective. You should be comfortable analyzing payer performance, identifying denial and reimbursement issues, managing staff, improving processes, and working collaboratively across a healthcare organization.
