Responsibilities
- Respond to HR general questions from employees via ticketing system.
- Partner with Benefits, Employee Relations, HRBP's, Payroll, and other stakeholders to respond to inquiries.
- Support HR systems in partnership with IT to ensure system upgrades and changes are implemented successfully.
- Participate in and lead HR projects and special programs.
- Manage full lifecycle of leave of absences, working with stakeholders to ensure fulfillment and compliance.
- Manage full lifecycle of accommodations, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure compliance and fulfillment.
- 2-3 years of HR Operations experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in HR/Business or a related field.
- 2+ years of direct Leave of Absence and Accommodation experience.
- Exceptional written, verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of HR processes (Candidate Support, Onboarding, Employee Support, etc.) end‑to‑end.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Working knowledge of case‑management systems (e.g., Service Now) and HRIS systems (e.g., Oracle Cloud).
- Project‑management skills and ability to adapt quickly to changes.
This is a flexible role and may be performed at your home and/or the local Akamai office in Cambridge, MA (ad hoc). We are happy to discuss working options in this role and encourage you to speak with your recruiter in more detail when you apply.
CompensationAkamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US‑based candidates only, the base salary for this position ranges from $47,100 — $84,900 per year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
