The organization engages a Project IT Manager II to deliver cross-functional initiatives leveraging SAP IS-U and utility-domain experience. Rate: $50.00 to $55.00/hr w2
Responsibilities- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional projects using waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Develop and manage project charters, timelines, resource plans, and risk registers.
- Coordinate with internal technology teams, business owners, and third-party vendors to meet objectives.
- Report status, issues, risks, and mitigation strategies to leadership and stakeholders.
- Assess impacts of technology changes on stakeholders and customer-facing operations.
- Develop and execute change management plans covering engagement, communications, training, and readiness.
- Collaborate with customer care, operations, and training teams to ensure smooth transitions.
- Identify resistance and implement mitigation strategies to promote adoption.
- Act as liaison between product owners, delivery teams, and stakeholders.
- Surface dependencies and coordinate to align with broader technology roadmaps.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
- SAP IS-U knowledge with project management in the utility sector.
- Experience managing complex business or technology projects in utility, energy, or regulated environments.
- Demonstrated change management experience including stakeholder analysis, communications planning, and training coordination.
- Familiarity with agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Comfort working in a matrixed environment with varying levels of PMO involvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication translating technical and business concepts.
- Knowledge of qTest, Jira, SharePoint, and Teams (preferred).
- Experience in regulated utilities or customer-facing technology projects (preferred).
- Understanding of capital project budgeting and financial governance practices (preferred).
- Working knowledge to proficiency in scheduling and cost controls (preferred).
- Knowledge in construction management (preferred).
- Graduation from a two-year college or university required.
- Graduation from a four-year college or university (preferred).
- PMI PMP or CAPM certification (preferred).
- Prosci certification or equivalent (preferred).
- CMII certificates (preferred).
- Professional Engineer license (preferred).
