Job Title:
Site Reliability Engineering – Clinical & Facility Services
This role ensures the reliability, availability, and performance of critical healthcare IT systems in the Environment of Care (EOC), supporting patients, providers, and staff. The position blends software engineering, clinical engineering, and security to minimize downtime, improve system resilience, and support clinical workflows.
Essential Responsibilities- Manage the department through hiring, coaching, performance management, and policy implementation; may have budgetary oversight. (25%)
- Partner with clinical engineering, cybersecurity, device manufacturers, and IT SMEs to manage, monitor, and secure clinical devices and equipment, ensuring HIPAA and other regulatory compliance. (15%)
- Oversee SRE collaboration with Clinical Engineering and Cybersecurity to troubleshoot medical equipment, manage device life cycle, document infrastructure, and conduct root‑cause analysis. (15%)
- Coordinate with facility leaders to optimize building automation system performance, monitor metrics, and improve infrastructure. (15%)
- Collaborate with IT teams on platform, disaster recovery, infrastructure, and release management, including downtime drills, incident reviews, and redundant system implementation. (15%)
- Establish core metrics for system health (latency, traffic, errors, saturation), maintain documentation, share knowledge, mentor staff, and stay current with SRE practices. (10%)
- Perform additional duties as assigned. (5%)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, IT, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years of management or leadership experience.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- At least five years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Administration, or Dev Ops, preferably in healthcare IT.
- Five years of experience managing the medical device lifecycle, network/device segmentation, and vulnerability/patch management.
- Experience in regulated environments, healthcare architecture, automation, IoT/telemetry, security, and incident management.
- Three years of progressive leadership in clinical engineering, IT, business continuity, or cybersecurity within healthcare.
- Problem‑solving with strong analytical and troubleshooting ability.
- Collaboration across multiple sites and teams.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Flexibility to support after‑hours incidents.
- Leadership in resource and project planning, decision making, and team building.
- Security awareness and application in a healthcare environment.
- Execution of multiple projects and cross‑functional initiatives.
- Relationship building and influence in a matrixed organization.
Pay Range Minimum: $51.90
Pay Range Maximum: $83.84
