Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster | MO & Lost-Time | FL Jurisdiction & FL Licensi

Primary Purpose

To analyze mid- and higher-level workers compensation claims to determine benefits due; to ensure ongoing adjudication of claims within company standards and industry best practices; and to identify subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements.

• Manage workers compensation claims determining compensability and benefits due on long‑term indemnity claims, monitor reserve accuracy, and file necessary documentation with the state agency.
• Develop and manage workers compensation claims action plans to resolution, coordinate return‑to‑work efforts, and approve claim payments.
• Approve and process assigned claims, determine benefits due, and manage the action plan pursuant to the claim or client contract.
• Manage subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements.
• Communicate claim action with claimant and client.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Support the organization's quality programs.
• Travel as required.

• Preferable education:
  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Home state license required.
• One (1) year of claims management experience.
• Prior handling of FL med‑only & indemnity claims.
• Jurisdiction knowledge: FL.
• Licensing: FL.
